| There is no "typical"
Active Care patient, as we see all types of individuals; from high
level professional or Olympic athletes to individuals who have been
hurt on the job or in motor vehicle accidents.
The common denominator amongst our
patients is that they are interested and willing to do the work
required to achieve the maximum outcome possible given their particular
injury or situation. All are treated with the same treatment philosophy
emphasizing biomechanics and active rehabilitation.
On a given day in the Active Care
facility, it is not uncommon to see a patient being treated for
a total knee replacement, a recreational athlete, a professional
athlete and a patient injured from an on the job accident. This
typically provides all types of patients with inspiration and empathy.
Additionally, patients are motivated
by the friendly, cooperative and energetic atmosphere that exists
at the Active Care clinic.
